Hey, hey, hey! I am happy to say that even though the past few weeks it has been hard for me to motivate I have been successful at getting in there and making ish happen. I always say you will be happy with yourself when you go ahead and get it done but every time you skip it you set yourself up for the “I can’t do this” whine party. When I’m feeling like passing on a workout for whatever reason my first rule of order is to see where can I fit it in later. Like if I miss today can I make this workout up another time and still achieve all my workouts for the week. Sometimes I can, sometimes I can’t. Then I go on to ask do I really want to switch my days up, most times I don’t because my diet in closely intertwined with my workouts so unless I planned it from early on in the day I have to follow through with the orginal workout planned. Basically I start trying to rationalize how I can skip a workout but most always end up getting it in because it makes the most sense. Each time you make it in there when you didn’t want to better prepares you to handle the next time and though it might not necessarily get easier, you do get better.
Though I’m getting stronger my fat loss has yet to balance out with my muscle gain. So that means it’s time to tweak things a bit. With my class times all over the place meals have been tricky some weeks so I’m pin pointing what I need to there to keep things moving in the right direction. And water, I know I’m retaining water because I have been finding it hard to drink lately. I’m trying to fix that. Any way switched up the exercises for this next month and decided to give the following a try to build my conditioning back up and tap into some fat stores:
Downloaded a free app on my phone, have the numbers all plugged in and going to tweak the home workout for tomorrow because it’s been a little lame. I love learning new stuff and reading great articles. This is another thing I do to keep motivated. You just gotta want it. When you really want it you go after it. You don’t have to rush, just keep moving forward and you’ll get there. Consistency pays off every time!
I’ll be back at the end of the week or sooner to let you know how it’s going. Until then feel free to comment on what you’re doing or how you stay motivated.
